DeleteI would so love "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" from the Primary songbook. Thank you for making all your hard work available to others. Mahalo nui loa!

ReplyDeleteHey, this site is awesome. I just bought a couple Ukes this past week, and I look forward to learning how to better enjoy them. Bookmarking this page!
ReplyDeleteCould you do Be Still, My Soul? I've been trying to find that one everywhere for a good reference.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that this website is awesome and spectacularly useful
ReplyDeleteThank you for the amazing list of songs. Could you add "Jesus the Very Thought of Thee" or "Come Follow Me"?
ReplyDeleteAny chance you can post links to all the lilypond files with the pdf so we can learn by example? Then we can get sweet computer skills too!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI was interested in writing some tabs for your blog, but I use finale notepad instead of lily Pond. Would you still like me to do some tabs and just email them to you as PDF's?
ReplyDeleteHey, email me what you got, i will add it, and as long as you are not someone looking to do weird stuff on a uke blog, then i will give you editing privileges
DeleteRight now I am working on Count Your Many Blessings, so I will email that one to you when I am done.
DeleteThis is WONDERFUL! My hats off to you for figuring these out and then putting them in printable chords and tabs! I was wondering if you could do the tab for "abide with me tis eventide"
ReplyDeleteThank you again for all of the wonderful tabs you've created!
thank you very much! amazing stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy son is on a mission and requested I find ukelele tabs for the hymns. I searched and felt I found a goldmine in your site. Thank you for sharing your hard work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing these!! What a relief to know that I don't have to pick the tabs out myself on these songs. You da man, Man!
ReplyDeleteI have a request from our sister missionary's they would like to hear: Lead, Kindly Light.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! This is such a great site - thank you for all the work you are putting into it. I am wondering - if I'm looking at doing something for my Primary...what would be the most simple song to play? (Least amount of chords/changes?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great site. Our son is serving in Hawaii right now. He bought his uke a couple months ago and asked for uke tabs for hymns. So we are grateful to have found your site. The prospect of downloading the individual files is a little daunting, though (since he does not have access to the electronic versions we have to print them for him). Is there any chance you could post a master file with all of the tabs to date? If not, we will continue downloading the individual files. Thanks for all of the work you have done. Perhaps he can touch the heart of someone using your tabs on the uke.
ReplyDeleteI also have a missionary that just requested ukulele music. Music is her outlet. I am so grateful I found your site. Thank you for your hard work!
ReplyDeleteHey, i love all of the songs that you have posted, this site is awesome! but i was wondering if you could do some youth songs, like the youth theme songs for this year :Come unto Christ. or some EFY songs, it would be sooooo great :) thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis has been so helpful while teaching myself ukulele! Could you add Ye Elders of Israel and the chords? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. My son is serving a mission on an island in the Federated States of Micronesia. This will really help him. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a find! Thank you. My daughter and I are learning the Ukulele and I would love to play some of the Primary songs from the current 2014 Sharing Time Outline, such as "The Family is of God," "I Will Follow God's Plan" and "He Sent His Son." Just thought I'd put them on your list if you have a mind to do some more! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to play Michael Mclean's song...I think it's ninety and nine? "I am one of the ninety and nine...."
ReplyDeleteThank you for all these wonderful songs!! also, any tips on playing those annoying B chords?
do you have the sheet music for it? and no, i dont have many tips on actually playing. honestly, i am a pretty amateurish uke player. i only started like a few years ago and mostly just mess around.
DeleteI love your site. I come on here weekly. Could you do "I am trying to be like Jesus"? Thank you.

ReplyDeleteif you can get me the sheet music, i can do it. otherwise, i have no way of making it up. i am not that good at music.
DeleteEverywhere I've looked for it, you have to pay. You've already done "We'll bring the world his truth", which is about half the song, so ill just play that, and the EFY medley is 9 pages long. Thanks for the great site!

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thanks! I really appreciate you sharing these! Between your computer skills, your Uke skills, and your time, this is one great gift of sharing your talents.
I wish you all the best!

Hi,

ReplyDeleteThank you for your hard work in getting these done. We did these at Girls Camp for the first time since I was a young women. And these were a hit! The girls requested more and more songs. And keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteOne quick thing I forgot to mention, some of the songs do not have the chords listed at that top. I know what they are on the piano, but I can't think that quick on my feet (literally, on my feet). Is it just my computer? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe songs without chords, didnt have chords in the hymn book, simplified hymns, or any other book i could find. i am not so good at adding chords. but maybe practice will help

DeleteHey,what about the efy song Grateful In All Things by Keiyana Osmond?
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to figure out strum pattern.
i couldnt find any sheet music, and i am no good at just listening and figuring it out. sorry
DeleteSo I played around a little bit with the song, and used this cool tuning app to kind of verify the chords. This song is actually super easy up until the bridge. The first chords are going to be F, G, Am, G, in first position as you can hear in the intro. It sounds like the strum is simply up, down, up, down, etc starting on an up strum. In teh chorus there is a C chord that starts the progression but otherwise follows the same progress. You can play around with it a bit. Hope that helps!

DeleteThanks so much, by the way!

ReplyDeleteYour efforts have impacted many though the gift and power of music. While I have little if any talent for playing, these tabs allow me to contribute to the music in my home and share the Spirit with the youth. Thank you for your time and efforts.
ReplyDeleteOne request, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
David, it is done! hope you like it
Deletebrad
Hi, I stumbled across you blog and am excited! My girls asked for UKelele's for Christmas. They are piano players so I'm hoping they can pick it up easily. Right now they are constantly playing and singing the new 2018 mutual theme song Peace in Christ. Is it possible to add that one on here for me to include in with their Christmas present? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt is done. hope it works well.
DeleteCan you do the chords for the male version of this song, please? Thanks!
DeleteMy son is serving in the Logan UT Mission. He is looking for "How Can I Be" by BY NELA OTUAFI. He sent me a You Tube video and it looks to have a strumming pattern to it as well. I've found a few versions online but I like your format so much better. Can you help? Janae.Hudgins@stvinc.com
ReplyDeleteI would need some sheet music. do you have any of that?
DeleteHow about Book of Mormon Stories?
ReplyDeleteit is on there now! thanks for the request. i had to change to key, so it may not go well with the songbook version
DeleteI really enjoy all this as it really helps me with being primary music leader! Ukulele is my secret weapon haha. Can you make tab cover of If the Savior Stood Beside Me?
ReplyDeleteThe Song is done. have a great day. let me know what you think.
DeleteCan you do big or small for the 2018 mutual album? We are going to us this song for our girls camp this year.
ReplyDeleteit is done. i hope it works well for you!
DeleteYou know I have connected your blog to the Music: LDS Research Guide for the library at BYU? I hope lots of people find you there. This is a great resource.
ReplyDeletethank you Myrna. you are too kind
DeleteLove all of this! In the song "Scripture power" there is a missing rest sign at the beginning of the third measure from the end...
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! I've been lurking on your site for a few years. I don't usually comment, but this is an amazing feat!
ReplyDeleteI have a memory I'd like to share with you. My extended family likes to sing, especially hymns. I took my Uke over to my aging grandpa's place. There were only a few of us there, and it was a beautiful day, so I took my Uke and my phone outside and we sat in lawn chairs, looking at the beautiful mountains, enjoying nature and singing hymns from your site. Thank you for that. I'll treasure it always.
"More Than Enough" is a beautiful childrens song I'd love to have Tab for!! Thank you for sharing your talents!
ReplyDeleteIf you add a donate tab, I would love to donate some money for your time putting this all together! What a great resource. I just started the uke, but I am a nursery leader and would love to learn all the nursery songs so I can play for the kids.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time and effort to extend the reach of the hymns to the Ukulele!!! So happy to have found this site!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your hard work!! I just bought two ukuleles this week for my family (and mostly me 😉), and I'm excited to play some hymns and primary songs!! Thanks!! 😘
ReplyDeleteWill these chords work for baritone ukulele as well?
ReplyDeletethey should. chords should be able to be straight up transferable. however, the tabs (or the picking parts) are not. that would depend on how your uke is arranged. there is like re-entry ukes and other ways to organize the strings. mine is G-C-E-A. so it is re-entry. but a C chord is always a C chord. C-E-G. but your strings may be non-reentry and then you would need different chord structures.
DeleteCan you add "For the Beauty of the Earth" hymn #92?
ReplyDeleteI came across your site a few months ago and have loved learning and playing the hymns and our kids like it when I play the name that tune game using the primary songs. Thank you and those who have worked on this site. It is a huge blessing.
Sis and Bro Hall, i have finished that hymn. sorry it took so long. blogger apparently, is no longer informing me of comments on this blog.
DeleteThis is wonderful. Thank you so much!
DeleteDo you happen to have a link that has all of these compiled onto a single PDF, by any chance?
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteCan you do "Count Your Blessings" hymn #241?
ReplyDeleteit is finally done! i even added custom designed chords...very simple.

Love this list. I am a super beginner. I understand the letters above the lyrics but I have 2 questions. 1) how do i interpret the TAB line with numbers and 2) how do I know the strumming patterns to use?
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your hard work and answering what may be goofy questions .
TAB line numbers show you which fret to press while picking that string. the bottom line on the tab is the top string of the uke. strumming patterns are up to you. there are countless patterns. just google your fav and try out lots of different stuff.
DeleteThis is awesome! Do you have time to do the 13 Articles of Faith? Thank you!

ReplyDeleteAlso, I'd love to learn how to use Lillypond to help with this effort of transposing songs to the Ukulele. Maybe send me a message and I'll get you my email or however works best for you.
As always, thanks for all you do.
Thanks for these resources! Could you please do the youth theme for this year, If we Love Him? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCan you do Kanaka Wai Wai? The song is about the young rich man that came to Jesus to ask what he needed to do to have eternal life, and Jesus said to sell everything and follow him, but the rich man went away because he had many possessions.
ReplyDeleteThe story behind the writing of the song was when the church came to Hawaii they wanted Hymns in Hawaiian. John Almeida wrote the song at the request of one of the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Hawaiian hymns, though it did not end up included in the Hawaiian hymnal.
