International Uke!

We've gone bilingual!  Here is a Frenchy hymn.  Thanks jtriumph!

Souviens-toi

The google translate shows the following:

1. Remember, my child, Thy divine parents
You shook in their arms, that time is not far away.
Now you're here, this wonderful,
Your eyes still shining reflection of heaven.
Tell me, my child, these blessed places
For to you is the light veil of oblivion.

2. Remember, my child woods, cities.
Can we imagine down here?
And the sky until the evening, is it pink or white?
He awaits the sun snow or rain?
Tell me, my child, the color of the meadows
And the birdsong of a forgotten world.

3. Remember, my child: At the dawn of time,
We were friends playing in the wind.
Then one day, in joy we chose
To accept the Lord's great plan of life.
That evening, my child, we promised
Through love, through faith, to be reunited.

Any one who can translate better, please let me know. I only know spanish.

  1. Thank you again for posting this. Thanks to you I was able to play this for my wife on her birthday and she loved it. She served her mission in France and fell in love with the people there. This song helped us remember that we will all be together again and that we where all friends before. There are a number of translations for this song that I've seen but they don't do it justice. Just like Moroni, you've done a great work and you've touched the lives of people you may never meet. Well, in this life anyway.

    Thank you!
