So this one was a tougher nut to crack, given all its ties and slurs and ridiculous timing and low notes to transpose.

      i use lilypond. there are some examples and templates on this site under the lilypond examples tab. i use lilypond, jEdit and that is all. it was pretty easy to set up, but it is very "computer programming" language heavy. it is not like a drag and drop notes placement program.
